Job Summary:

Ocean Edge is working exclusively on one of the largest voluntary sector UK wide providers of housing support and care for older people. Our client is a volunteer-led national housing association which was formed in October 2003. They currently cater for over 2000 older people who enjoy a high quality of independent living through a range of services all of which have local community involvement.

Our client are looking to employ a Part Time Area Housing & Residential Services Officer to join there team and provide Housing and Tenancy Management service to a group of Houses and residents within North London and Buckinghamshire.

Overall Role:

To provide Housing and tenancy management services to a group of houses and residents in the designated patch by:

Supporting the residence through

• Visiting each property in the region at least every two weeks, to promote services provided and to carry out support and review meetings

• Actively seek to sustain tenancy and meet individuals needs

• In conjunction with the housing manager make sure day to day welfare of the residents is maintained

• Support tenants in their move into new homes

• Deal with suggestions. comments and complaints of residence at a local level

Asset Management 

• Carrying out post inspection work of repairs as required

• Ensuring equipment is regularly serviced

• Work with staff in asset management to identify planned and major works to properties

The ideal Candidate

The Ideal candidate will

• Have experience of working in housing/supporting people/older persons environment

• Be organized and performance focused

• Have a strong customer service ethos

The hours of work are Wednesday afternoon 13:30 to 17:00, Thursday 09:00 to 17:00 and Friday 09:00 to 17:00, which totals a 17.5 hour week. 

Our client have many offices throughout the Region, the exact location is to be agreed with the post holder.

Our client is offering a salary of £20,000 - £24,000pa pro rata with additional benefits that include car allowance at 40p per mile.
